Communication Guidance and Logos
Publicising the grant
The European Union requires that LEADER grants are publicised. The requirements will be set out in your Offer Letter and Grant Funding Agreement letter.
Guidance on publicising your grant is available in the Guide to Managing a Successful LEADER Project (document G8). You will have been given this document when you met the LEADER Programme Manager to discuss the Grant Funding Agreement.
You will be required to:
a. mention the grant in any press releases, online communications and websites, including EU and LEADER logos, and the following text:
“The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) is funded by Defra and the EU. The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD): Europe investing in rural areas”
b. Projects receiving funding in excess of €50,000 will also be required to display a poster (minimum size A3) or permanent plaque. A template will be provided.
You must cover the cost of publicising the grant and this cannot be included in claims for grant reimbursement.
Non-compliance of publicity requirements is a breach of the funding agreement and may result in your grant claim being reduced, withdrawn or reclaimed.
You can download the EU and LEADER logo, in either jpeg or EPS format, below. You must use both the EU logo and the LEADER logo.
Please note, use of the EU and LEADER logo cannot be used to infer endorsement by Defra, the RPA or EU of products created under your project.
